Biography

Kinga Dobolyi is an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department at George Mason University’s Volgeneau School of Engineering. Doboyi received her PhD from the University of Virginia in 2010, and her BS from the Univeristy of Maryland, College Park, in 2004. In the beginning, her research focused on software engineering, testing, and web applications. Dobolyi’s interest categories have evolved into conducting interdisciplinary projects in cognition and social psychology. In the classroom, Dobolyi applies a “flipped” classroom model, where students read and watch lecture material on their own time, then apply their learning in a lab style environment involving collaboration and coaching. Her instructional subjects include programming, software engineering, usability testing, and web engineering.
