Ariela Sofer, Systems Engineering and Operations Research department chair, has been selected as an INFORMS (The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences) Fellow for 2016.
Fellows are exemplars of outstanding lifetime achievement in operations research and the management sciences. They have demonstrated exceptional accomplishments and made significant contributions to the advancement of operations research and management science over a period of time. Their service to the profession and to INFORMS culminates in election to the INFORMS Fellow Award. This recognition reflects, in part, what Sofer has done with and for her department at the school.
