Survey of optimization methods for students whose main focus is on application of optimization. Covers modeling, search methods, convexity, linear programming, sensitivity, networks, multiobjective optimization, heuristic methods, integer programming, nonlinear programming and dynamic programming; use of modeling languages and optimization tools, including NEOS. Notes: Course cannot be counted toward MSOR degree. Students who have taken OR 541 or 644 cannot receive credit.
