The key objective of the course is to introduce concepts and techniques for analyzing an architecture design once it has been completed
and demonstrate their use in DoDAF compliant architectures.

INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Alexander H. Levis is University Professor of Electrical, Computer and Systems Engineering at George Mason University where he heads the System Architectures Laboratory. From 2001 through 2004 he served as the chief scientist of the US Air Force. He currently serves on advisory committees for the Department of Homeland Security, for NASA, and for the United States Strategic Command. He has published extensively on architectures and on many aspects of Command and Control

PC REQUIREMENTS
This course can be taken on either a PC or
Mac. Students will need to have an Internet connection and e-mail
capabilities. Courses will be webcast using the free Java software
program Elluminate Live. Please click here for instructions on getting started.
Course notes and other materials will be posted in the Learning
Management Tool, Blackboard. You will be able to access Blackboard once
you have obtained your Mason e-mail address and password.
Please Note: We must receive your registration form no less than
six business days before the courses begin to ensure enough time to
create and send you your Mason ID information and to give you time to
test your access to the Elluminate and Blackboard systems. It is strongly recommended that you log in and test your access at least three business days before the first lecture.
Firewalls: In the case that firewalls in your place of work prevent you
from connecting to Blackboard and Elluminate at some locations, you may
have to access the course from your home or an alternative location that
is free of such restrictions.
