Mannal Mannal Bakhsh is a senior in Systems Engineering and is graduating in May, 1996. Up until the end of her junior year she was an electrical engineering major. Thinking she'd had enough technical courses, she decided to go towards the management side of engineering. At the beginning of her fourth year she decided to change her major to Systems Engineering.

She presently works for a telecommunications company as a sales engineer. The first six months she is being trained by telecommunications engineers to receive hands on experience, on-site, on installation of their telecommunication systems. Once training has been completed successfully, she will move to the sales and management side of the field. She whole-heartedly enjoys her work, and is very content with her decision of having changed her major when she did.

Rita Singh

Next Page Main Menu previous

Rita I am a Systems Engineering undergraduate at GMU. I have been a student with the school of System Engineering for the last 3.5 years. I plan to graduate in December of 1996.

I have worked throughout my college life and have gained a lot of experience in the corporate world. All of the work that I have been exposed to has always been in the field of engineering and management. I have taken extra management and writing courses not required by the engineering curriculum, therefore I feel I would be a better organization and detail person than a programmer or graphics artist. I feel with the constant gain of experience, not only from my education, but also from my work experiences, I am capable of doing many tasks consistently and confidently.
