She presently works for a telecommunications company as a sales engineer.
The first six months she is being trained by telecommunications engineers
to receive hands on experience, on-site, on installation of their
telecommunication systems. Once training has been completed successfully,
she will move to the sales and management side of the field. She
whole-heartedly enjoys her work, and is very content with her decision
of having changed her major when she did.
Mannal Bakhsh is a senior in Systems Engineering and is graduating in
May, 1996. Up until the end of her junior year she was an
electrical engineering major. Thinking she'd had enough technical courses,
she decided to go towards the management side of engineering. At the
beginning of her fourth year she decided to change her major to
Systems Engineering.

maintaining databases, and revising and editing documentation.
Do you remember the scared grounds keeper in our story "Mowin in
the Graveyard" who raced out of the cemetery, hurdling headstones
with the agility of an Olympic athlete? Well, this character was
named after Simon Bowen, one of our senior design class members.
In addition to studying systems engineering, Simon is a world-class
athlete and will compete in the 1996 Summer Olympics, representing
Jamaica in the mens 800 meter race!
She works at the C3I Architectures Lab in the Systems Engineering

and a Professional Certificate in Operations Research and Engineering.
Her studies included systems modeling, methodology, and design;
computer science and software engineering; analysis and optimization
techniques; and project management.
My background in computers allows me to apply myself within the
audio/video integration field as well as in the graphics artist area.
By knowing a large variety of software packages I am able to have an
understanding for what is generally attractive as well as accepted
in the computer market.
As a college senior in the computer field, I am capable of several
disciplines involving programming as well as many other tasks requiring
the use of a computer. My past experience includes much Internet usage as
well as HTML and C++ programming.
Mason Lee has a general knowledge in the skills
and techniques taught at George Mason University. His main skills

I have worked throughout my college
life and have gained a lot of experience in the corporate world.
All of the work that I have been exposed to has always been in the
field of engineering and management. I have taken extra management and
writing courses not required by the engineering curriculum,
therefore I feel I would be a better organization and detail person than
a programmer or graphics artist. I feel with the constant gain of
experience, not only from my education, but also from my work experiences,
I am capable of doing many tasks consistently and confidently.
I am a Systems Engineering undergraduate at GMU. I have been a student
with the school of System Engineering for the last 3.5 years. I plan
to graduate in December of 1996.
