Undergraduate Program Objectives
Graduates earning the Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering at
George Mason University are able to:
- Apply fundamental concepts of mathematics, science, information
technology, and engineering. The core curriculum is designed to develop
the skills and understanding that form the basis for systems engineering
now and in the future.
- Participate meaningfully in the development of systems using
systems engineering methods, models, and tools.
- Work effectively as a member of multi-disciplinary and
cross-functional teams and behave in a professional, ethical, and
responsible manner. This includes establishing a foundation for
life-long learning in the area of systems engineering and related areas.
- Communicate effectively with peers and others both orally and in
writing.
